Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5

If you’re anything like me, when something feels uncertain, your mind goes straight into problem-solving mode. You replay conversations. You think through every possible outcome. You try to get ahead of things so you don’t feel caught off guard.

And that makes sense. You’re trying to be responsible. You’re trying to care well.

But it’s also exhausting.

This verse isn’t asking you to stop thinking or to pretend things don’t matter. It’s gently reminding you that you don’t have to carry the full weight of figuring everything out.

When you lean on your own understanding, it can feel familiar—even safe. But familiar doesn’t always mean steady.

So here’s today’s small invitation for you:

Notice one thing you’ve been trying to mentally solve or control.
Just one.

You don’t have to fix it today.
You don’t even have to understand it fully.

For this moment, try loosening your grip just a little.
Let trust look like placing the weight somewhere more solid than yourself.

You’re not failing because you don’t have clarity.
You’re learning to trust in the middle of it.

And that’s enough for today.

A Place to Reflect Together

I’m building a women-only Patreon community for those who want more than reading alone. It’s a space for thoughtful conversation, shared reflection, and encouragement as we walk with God together. If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, I’d love to have you there.
