When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Isaiah 43:2

Some fires don’t just pass by. They go straight through you.

This tree had thin bark and a weak center. When the fire came, it didn’t just leave marks on the outside. It burned through the inside and hollowed the tree out.

Some seasons do that to us too.

They don’t just test us. They change us. They bring up weak places we didn’t even know were there. And when it’s over, you don’t feel the same. You feel tired. Different. Unsure of what’s left.

That’s why this verse matters. It doesn’t say we won’t face hard things. It doesn’t say the fire won’t touch us. It says we won’t be destroyed by it.

That tree survived. Even after the fire moved through it. Even after the damage. And somehow, life still found a way to grow.

So here’s something to try today.

If you’ve been through something that didn’t just hurt, but actually changed you, you don’t need to rush to prove you’re okay. You don’t need to rebuild everything right now. And you don’t need to pretend it didn’t matter.

Sometimes getting through it is already a kind of strength. And new life doesn’t rush. It grows slowly, over time.

If all you can do today is stand that’s enough.

You walked through the fire, and you’re still here.

Life can still grow.
